Application crash on close after .xfdf annotations import

Hi,
We have issues with .xfdf annotations import on PDF-image (scanned) documents.
The import itself works fine but when we close the application, we get a crash error.
The same code with PDF-Text document causes no problem.
Our app is written in PowerBuilder but we managed to make a C# application with the same code reproducing the issue.
You will find it in the attached .zip. There is a readme.pdf with more details.
Thank you very much!

Eric

Hello Eric,

I have reproduced this with the 322.7 dll. From what I see this was already fixed in the newer version that is under the development and will be available from the next major build (323).
PS: I do not know the eta. (hopefully in a month or so)

Cheers,
Alex

Hello guys,

Do you have any updates about the release date of the next build with this fix?

Thanks!

Hello Eric,

It should be out in a few weeks or so - can't give more precise timing.

Alex

Hi,
I noticed that version 7.0.323.0 of PDF-XChange Editor End User edition was released last week.
A new version of PDF-XChange Editor SDK seems to have been released on the same day but it's still at 6.0.322.7.
Can you tell if this update has the fix for our crash problem?
If not, do you now have a better idea of the release date of version 7.0 release of the SDK?
Thank you very much,
Cheers

Eric

Hello Eric,

The next release of the SDK version is delayed a little because of the End-User Editor new version release. It should be out when all of the major problems are fixed.

Cheers,
Alex

Hello,
With this issue still occurring, our client refuses the delivery of the solution in his production environment.
He is now considering a complete withdraw of the SDK.
Could you please provide an availability date for a fix? Either via a quick fix or through a new release of the SDK.
Thank you very much,
Best regards
Eric

Hello Eric,

I cannot reproduce the crash that you described on the newest build - tried on different configurations many times.

Alex

Hello Alex,

Just to let you know that the the .DLL of the end user version didn't work but the latest 6.0.322.7 build of the SDK resolved our problem!

On a side note, we noticed that this build comes with the menu icons of the version 7 of the end user edition. Shouldn't the build number of the SDK move to 7?

Cheers,
Eric

Hello Eric,

There seems to be some minor problem with build naming - will try to resolve this.

Hi,
We did all our tests with this version downloaded last week : "6.0.322.7, released 20 Dec 2017"
This version is no longer available on your download page but there is a "7.0.323.2, released 20 Dec 2017 " version.
Can we correctly assume that this was only a name change and that theses two version are the same and identical?
Thanks!
Eric

Hello Eric,

The names were fixed after the report - no need to worry - it's the same dll.

Cheers,
Alex
