Support for 3D PDFs?

Does version 7 support 3D PDFs? Or any plans for support?

I am afraid not. We looked into it years ago and the work involved in making this happen vastly outweighs the projected revenue. It is an enormous job. Maybe if there were existing libraries we could access that might change but we do not like using 3rd party code. We built our products from the ground up and we know everything that is in them. That provides great security for our customers. We are rarely vulnerable to the issues our competitors experience and proud of it.
3D in PDF never really took off like many had hoped it would. We get very little demand for it.
It is kind of going the way or VRML... does anyone even remember that?
