Why doesn't the PDFXCview.exe process end when I close the application?
Question:
Why doesn't the PDFXCview.exe process end when I close the application?
Answer:
There are two possible causes of this issue:
The first possibility is that an older version of PDF-XChange Viewer is being used. Please ensure that the most recent build is installed. It can be downloaded here. Additionally, please note that PDF-XChange Editor has now superseded PDF-XChange Viewer, which has been discontinued.
The second possibility is that the antivirus on the local machine is impacting on how PDFXCView.exe runs. If you are using Kaspersky Antivirus then follow the steps below to resolve the issue:
1. Download the most recent KAV installer.
2. Uninstall KAV.
3. Restart the computer.
4. Install the most recent version of KAV.
