I have reached the maximum permitted number of activations for my license key and would like to remove a machine from my license in order to free up a space for a new machine. What should I do?
The license keys for PDF-XChange software are assigned a specific number of users, and each user is permitted to activate the license on two machines - a desktop PC and a laptop/touch-based device - provided that they are the primary user of both machines. For example, a five-user license key is permitted to be activated on ten total machines. When the activations limit is reached it is no longer possible to use the license key to activate the software on additional devices. If you want to do so then it is necessary to first remove a machine from your license.
You can view/edit the machines on which your license key is activated at any time via the "Activations List" in your online account with us. You can sign into your account at any time here:

using your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, you can use the "reset password" link on the login page to recover it. When you have accessed your account, please go to the Your Products & Serial Keys tab detailed below. Your license keys are detailed there, and you can click the Activations List button to view/edit the current activations of each license key:
The Activations List will open:
All machines that are currently registered on your license are detailed in the list. Simply click Deregister to deregister a machine from the Activations List, then click OK in the confirmation box to confirm the deregistration. A free space will then be available on your license to add a new machine.
Please note that if you do not see an Activations List in your account, then it is likely that you have one of the larger volume user licenses that are designed for a use on a server. In that case, you simply need to remove the software from the machine on which it is no longer required in order to free up a space for a new machine.
