I'm writing to leave a simple thank-you for the developers.

I started my simple PDF editing needs some time ago using Adobe Acrobat versions 4 and 5, and stopped upgrading from there because of the costs. I've found several means to generate PDF documents, previously using PostScript printing and Ghostscript conversion, and more recently just using the interface to those program provided by PDF Creator.

I like that PDF-XChange is meticulous in both reading and writing pdfs. I like the messages about errors in others' pdfs that can be fixed by PDF-X. I haven't plumbed the depths of the app yet - there is a lot to learn - but it has been easy to use some special features, e.g. converting a pdf into a spreadsheet, and the results have been surprisingly good...

I can't believe it took me so long to discover this program! All those wasted years using my legal copies of v9 and v11 A-dope and not willing to buy another legal copy due to their price gouging. It always took me a long time to figure out how to do things in Adobe, but it never takes more than a few seconds in PDF-x.
