Search or Ask a Question

This is a keyword search that looks for matching articles that contain one or more words specified by a user in articles’ tags, title and content. The search results are sorted by the frequency of words found in articles and weighted to give preference to tags, title and article content in that order. Words from the article tags rate higher than words from the article title and words from the article title rate higher than words from the article content. The logical operators e.g. + ! || && etc or quotes to search for a phrase are disregarded.

Symptoms

I use the PDF-XChange Printer to create a PDF version of a web page I am looking at in Firefox 4 and in the resulting document I cannot select any text.

Cause

Firefox 4 user hardware acceleration to render the page.  All PDF converters that work by capturing a print job are affected.

Resolution

The work around is to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox 4:

Tools > Options > Advanced

but as mentioned in the Mozilla article: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/760923 it only works after a restart of Firefox.  See also : http://support.mozilla.com/uk/questions/794786

A fix for this will be dependent on the Mozilla Team.
