Question:
If I am using the CoPDFXCView ActiveX (PDFXCviewAx.dll), but not creating an interface or viewing PDFs, do I need to distribute the resource.dat file?
Answer:
The following components should be included in your installation (and must also be registered) in order to redistribute your application to end users:
PDFXCview.exe
PDFXCviewAx.dll
Resource.dat
If the Windows 2000 operating system is being used then the Gdiplus.dll must also be included.
Note:
- The PDF-XChange Viewer is available in both 32 and 64 bit versions. These should both be accommodated in your distribution. They are available in the SDK installation folder.
- The PDF-XChange Viewer SDK requires Windows 2000 or later to operate.

- Tracker Software also provide a complete installer that developers can use as an alternative to the above options. The command line switch /VERYSILENT can be used to call this installer silently from within the installer of developer applications. Click here to download this installer.
